Our Far South
Our Far South is a Morgan Foundation project aimed at raising New Zealanders' awareness of the area south of Stewart Island. The aim of Our Far South is to raise New Zealanders’ awareness of the importance of Antarctica, the subantarctic islands and the Southern Ocean. We want to highlight the reasons why this area is of such value and to outline the threats it is under and the opportunities it holds.
Pro Delphinus
Pro Delphinus is based in Lima, Peru. It conducts research and conservation of threatened and endangered marine turtles, marine otters, seabirds and sharks in Peruvian waters.
Programa de Aves Marinas–Aves Argentinas (ATF Argentina)
The Seabird Programme of Aves Argentinas (Grupo de Trabajo en Albatros Aves Argentinas) (a local NOG partner of BirdLife International) is part of major worldwide conservation efforts to reduce seabird mortality in fisheries. Through its local Albatross Task Force chapter, it has been involved in different outreach and educational projects since 2000.
Programa Marino Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina (FVSA)
The Marine Programme of Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina (Programa Marino Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina, FVSA) (local WWF partner) is a local NGO that works with different actors –all connected with the sea –to promote sustainable managed fisheries, properly regulated and implemented responsible fishing practices, as part of a new fishery development model that guarantees fish, fishing and fishermen forever. The Marine Programme has been involved in different outreach and educational projects related to the conservation of albatrosses and petrels in fisheries since the year 2000.
