FAO publishes mitigation measures review UPDATED

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has published a review of mitigation measures to reduce seabird bycatch in longline, trawl and gillnet fisheries.  The report was written by Svein Løkkeborg of Norway’s Institute of Marine Research in support of effective implementation of the FAO's International Plan of Action for Reducing Incidental Capture of Seabirds in Longline Fisheries (IPOA-Seabirds).
