# Recent publications on Puffinus shearwaters

At the Fifth Meeting of ACAP's Scientific Committee held in Argentina in 2010 an information paper ([AC5 Inf 5](http://acap.aq/english/english/advisory-committee/ac5/ac5-information-papers)) submitted by the Secretariat gave a brief review of the conservation status of shearwaters of the genera *Calonectris* and *Puffinus*.  The paper suggested that nine species (out of a total of 22) might be considered for listing within the Agreement.

To aid in any further consideration of listing shearwaters within the Agreement, *ACAP Latest News* will from time to time list recent scientific publications on the following species:

 **Mediterranean and Macaronesian Regions**
